This Friday is Good Friday, the day our Lord laid his life down for the sins of mankind in order to reconcile us to God!
As I was praying this afternoon, the Lord prompted me to fast and pray this Friday. I’m writing to invite you to join me. If you sense the Spirit prompting you as well I would be honored if you would join me. God honors the discipline of fasting and praying. This is how I will be praying. Pray along or pray as the Spirit leads in other ways:
- That people would be reconciled to God – salvation for many – prodigals return
- For marriages, families, relationships
- That the body of Christ would strive in the ministry of reconciliation [2 Corinthians 5:18]

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Romans 5:10-11 (NASB)
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (NASB)
