While we are disappointed that we cannot yet meet in the church building as a group, we are excited about the series we’ve just started where we will study the twelve “minor” prophets. We had a comment from a congregant about how she loves the culture of learning we are cultivating at Discover. We love that you are all diving in and studying God’s word like never before!
Youth is continuing to utilize Zoom on Wednesday evenings for youth group and Instagram on Sundays for Youth service. If you need more details on how those work, times, and how to get on the text distribution for youth, please email Leah@discovercommunity.church.
On Sundays, our Kids church has started a Zoom get together during services. Make sure to email Erik@discovercommunity.church or Chrissy@discovercommunity.church for details and login info.
Pastor Lisa continues to post curriculum and craft updates in our “Discover Littles” group on Facebook, so if you have littles, make sure to join.
Our pantry is continuing to serve families every week. We are receiving donations consistently from people inside and outside of our church. Thank you to all who are continuing to participate as you can! As we have more and more people using our pantry services, we will need to start filling limited volunteer positions–while still following all guidelines and rules currently in place.
If you are interested and comfortable helping with the pantry in May, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Times are Sunday 1-2 pm and Wednesday 12-3. You will need to use a face mask for the time being and we will limit it to two volunteers for each shift. You will be putting orders together, distributing them to drive through clients (all will have appointments), taking in donations from the drive-through, and putting them away.
Keep checking out all our social media platforms and this blog to stay in the loop as we continue to get creative to keep everyone connected!
